Nine persons were reportedly killed and 11 others injured following an attack on Angwan Magaji, an Irigwe community in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, on the night of June 16, 2026. The group also listed 11 individuals who reportedly sustained varying degrees of injuries during the incident.

The attack is the latest in a series of violent incidents that have affected communities in parts of Kaduna State, particularly areas where long-standing tensions over land use, security, and communal relations have persisted.
