Chief Godwin Adimike, a businessman reportedly known within Nigeria’s electronics import and export sector, has died following an alleged stabbing incident at his residence located at No. 3 Hassan Adamu Street, Guzape, Abuja.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Friday, May 15, 2026, following what sources described as a heated disagreement between the deceased and his biological son.

Sources alleged that the disagreement was linked to financial issues involving the son’s allowance and management of family business interests. Reports further claimed that an argument escalated before the businessman was allegedly stabbed multiple times.

The victim was reportedly rushed to Karu General Hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Unverified accounts circulating online further alleged that the suspect questioned his father over financial support and compared his lifestyle with those of other wealthy families. However, these claims remain unofficial and have not been independently confirmed.

The son has reportedly been taken into police custody while authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Chief Adimike was reportedly a prominent importer and exporter of electronics with business interests linked to Alaba International Market. Reports also indicated that he owned properties in upscale locations including Lekki, Maitama and Guzape.
