The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has announced the results of its House of Representatives primary elections held across the state’s federal constituencies.

According to the party, the primaries were conducted peacefully under the supervision of the National Assembly Primary Election Committee and in compliance with party guidelines and provisions of the Electoral Act.

The Benue State chapter of the APC has officially released the results of its House of Representatives primary elections conducted across the state ahead of future electoral activities.

The results were announced at the APC State Secretariat Conference Hall in Makurdi by Alhaji Sa’idu Mahuta, who supervised the exercise as Chairman of the National Assembly Primary Election Committee.

According to the party, the primaries were held peacefully and in accordance with APC guidelines as well as provisions of the Electoral Act.
The candidates announced as winners in their respective federal constituencies are:

Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency – Regina Akume

Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency – Christopher Ikper

Buruku Federal Constituency – Gideon Inyom

Gwer East/Gwer West Federal Constituency – Terhemba Nongo

Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency – Kohol Iornem

Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency – Solomon Wombo

Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency – Livinus Tsar

Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency – Blessing Onuh

Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency – Ojutu Ojuma

Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency – Anthony Agom

Obi/Oju Federal Constituency – Peter Oboh Egbodi

The party commended aspirants, delegates and stakeholders for what it described as their peaceful conduct and commitment to internal democracy throughout the exercise.

In a statement signed by Benedict Yawe, the APC congratulated the successful aspirants and urged party members and supporters to remain united ahead of future elections.

The announcement forms part of the party’s internal candidate selection process ahead of forthcoming general elections.
