A chilling incident has thrown residents of Oju Local Government Area of Benue State into shock, after a man allegedly murdered his friend and buried the body inside a room in Igumale community.

The disturbing case, which reportedly occurred on Monday in Ebondda Ukpa, has sparked outrage across the area, with locals struggling to comprehend the brutality of the act.

According to emerging reports, the suspect allegedly killed the victim said to be his friend and concealed the crime by burying the corpse within the four walls of a room. The motive behind the killing remains unclear as authorities continue investigations.

The development has triggered widespread condemnation in Igede land, where many residents have described the incident as deeply troubling. Some community members said they were particularly disturbed by claims that the victim had visited the suspect before the fatal encounter.
