The management of St. Winifred Secondary School, Ihugh, in Benue State has released its end-of-session academic schedule, announcing staggered vacation dates for students, postponing graduation activities, and appealing to parents to clear outstanding school fees to support the restoration of facilities affected by a recent crisis.

IHUGH, BENUE STATE — The management of St. Winifred Secondary School, Ihugh, has informed parents and guardians of important end-of-session arrangements as the 2025/2026 academic session draws to a close.

According to a notice issued by the school management, students currently writing third-term examinations are expected to complete their papers on different dates depending on their classes.

The school stated that students who have completed their examinations will begin their long vacation on Saturday, 18 July 2026, while those still writing external and internal examinations are expected to proceed on vacation on Saturday, 25 July 2026.

The management explained that SSS 2 students completed their Mock Senior School Certificate Examination (Mock SSCE) on Thursday, 16 July, and have resumed regular classroom lessons to make up for instructional time lost during the recent crisis.

It also disclosed that SSS 3 students are still sitting for the National Examinations Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination, while examinations for other students are expected to conclude by Thursday or Friday of next week.

Parents and guardians were encouraged to confirm the safe arrival of their children after they return home for the holiday.

The school further appealed to parents with outstanding school fee balances to settle them before students leave for the long vacation, noting that the funds would assist ongoing efforts to rebuild and restore school facilities damaged during the crisis.

In addition, management announced that end-of-session activities, including the graduation ceremony for the graduating class, have been postponed until the next academic term when the school reopens in September 2026.

The management thanked parents and guardians for their understanding, patience, and continued support throughout the challenging period.
