The Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), Makurdi, has announced fresh recruitment into its Biomedical Engineering department. The hospital is seeking qualified professionals for both entry-level and senior engineering positions.
Applications are expected to close on Friday, May 8, 2026.

The Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), Makurdi, has officially opened applications for the recruitment of Biomedical Engineers and Senior Biomedical Engineers as part of efforts to strengthen its technical and healthcare delivery workforce.

According to the internal and external advertisement signed by the Director of Administration, Cynthia K. Orjime, on behalf of the Chief Medical Director, the hospital is seeking qualified candidates to fill two key positions under the CONHESS salary structure.

For the position of Biomedical Engineer (CONHESS 08), applicants are required to possess a University Degree or its equivalent in Biomedical Engineering from a recognised institution. Candidates must also present a NYSC Discharge Certificate, Exemption Certificate, or Certificate of Exclusion. Professional registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) will serve as an added advantage.

For the Senior Biomedical Engineer (CONHESS 09) role, candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, with COREN registration also considered an advantage.

Interested applicants are required to submit their applications along with detailed Curriculum Vitae and copies of relevant credentials. All submissions are to be addressed to the Chief Medical Director, Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi.

The hospital emphasized that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews. Applicants are also expected to request their referees to forward confidential reports directly to the Office of the Director of Administration.

The deadline for submission of applications has been fixed for Friday, May 8, 2026.
