A family in Benue State has launched a public appeal for information regarding the whereabouts of a woman who reportedly left her matrimonial home in Abuja approximately two weeks ago.

According to a statement circulated by family representatives, efforts to establish contact with her have so far been unsuccessful, prompting concerns among relatives and members of the community.

A family from Mbabum community in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State has appealed to members of the public for assistance in locating a woman who was reported missing after allegedly leaving her matrimonial home in Abuja.

According to a statement attributed to a family representative, the woman, who was reportedly married into the family in March 2026, left her husband's residence in Abuja about two weeks ago and has not returned.

The statement claimed that attempts to communicate with her have not yielded the desired result, despite allegations by family members that her telephone line remains active.

Family representatives also called on members of church communities and relatives who may have information about her whereabouts to assist in efforts to establish contact with her.

However, the claims contained in the public appeal have not been independently verified. There has been no public confirmation from law enforcement authorities regarding the circumstances of the reported disappearance or whether a formal missing-person report has been filed.

The family urged anyone with credible information regarding the woman's whereabouts to come forward through appropriate and lawful channels.

Missing-person cases often require collaboration between families, communities and security agencies to ensure that accurate information is gathered and that the rights and safety of all parties involved are protected.

As of the time of filing this report, no official statement had been issued by relevant authorities concerning the matter.
