Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia on Monday paid an unscheduled visit to the headquarters of Benue Links Nigeria Limited in Makurdi, where he reiterated his administration’s commitment to transforming the state.

The visit came shortly after the governor returned from Abuja, where he joined other state governors to meet with Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the Sallah celebrations and attended a Nigeria Governors’ Forum meeting.
At the company’s headquarters, the governor was received by the General Manager, Comrade Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa, alongside staff and supporters who gathered to welcome him.

In a brief address, Alia expressed appreciation for the warm reception, noting that such support continues to encourage his administration’s efforts. He also conveyed goodwill messages from President Tinubu following their recent engagement in Abuja.

The governor used the opportunity to call on young people in the state to embrace agriculture, describing it as a key driver of economic growth and job creation.

According to him, the state government is ready to increase investment in the agricultural sector to boost productivity and improve livelihoods across Benue.

The visit, though unscheduled, drew attention from residents and staff, underscoring the governor’s engagement with state-owned institutions.
