Hon. Tiza Isaac Imojime Orya has resigned as Commissioner for Youths and Sports in Benue State, marking the end of a tenure defined by dedication and impactful service. Orya announced his exit to pursue a political career, contesting for the Federal House of Representatives seat in Buruku Federal Constituency.

During his time in office, Hon. Orya spearheaded initiatives aimed at youth empowerment and sports development across Benue State. His leadership style earned him recognition for promoting community engagement, talent development, and transparency in ministry projects.

The resignation, described as “a graceful bow out,” signals Orya’s intention to bring his experience and vision to the national legislative arena. Sources within the government noted that his departure was amicable, reflecting mutual respect between him and the Alia administration.

“Serving the youths and sports sector has been a rewarding journey. I leave office proud of what we have achieved and optimistic about serving my people at the federal level,” Orya said in his farewell statement.

Governor Alia commended Orya for his contributions, describing him as “a commissioner whose commitment and results will leave a lasting legacy in Benue State.”
