The Senator representing Benue North-West, Titus Tartenger Zam, has rolled out a large-scale empowerment programme, distributing vehicles, motorcycles, and computers to constituents, alongside commissioning a classroom block in Tarka Local Government Area.
The initiative, tagged “Zam Cares,” was unveiled on Saturday in Wannune, drawing political stakeholders, party leaders, and beneficiaries from across the senatorial district.
At the event, vehicles were presented to zonal and local government APC chairmen, while youth leaders received shuttle buses. Motorcycles were distributed to ward chairmen, and desktop computers donated to schools to boost learning.
Earlier, the lawmaker commissioned a classroom block at Ikyough in Mbajir, Tarka LGA, as part of efforts to strengthen education infrastructure.
Speaking, Zam said the programme was a gesture of appreciation for the support he received during the 2023 elections. He reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation and commended Bola Ahmed Tinubu for working with the National Assembly to improve citizens’ welfare.
Representing the Senator, Joseph Terlumun Utsev urged Benue residents to support President Tinubu, citing ongoing development efforts.
Also speaking, George Akume was praised for his contributions to agriculture, healthcare, and social welfare.
Stakeholders, including Mike Aondoakaa and Beckie Orpin, described Zam as a performing legislator with strong grassroots impact.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, pledging to utilise the items to improve livelihoods and community development.
