Three persons have reportedly been abducted by suspected kidnappers along the Okoloke Road axis of Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.
According to local sources, the incident occurred near Abewo on Sunday afternoon, June 14, 2026, with the victims said to be residents of Egbe.
A fresh security incident has been reported in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State following the alleged abduction of three residents of Egbe along the Okoloke Road corridor.
Local sources told Benue Info-pedia that the victims were kidnapped in a bush area near Abewo along Okoloke Road on Sunday afternoon.
The victims were identified by residents as a driver, his motor boy, and a wood operator, all said to be from Egbe.
The latest incident comes less than 24 hours after a separate security operation in Odole Odo-Eri, where local vigilantes reportedly rescued a pastor and a woman from suspected kidnappers.
Residents say the repeated incidents have heightened fears among commuters and communities that rely on the Okoloke Road route for transportation and economic activities.
Community members have urged security agencies to strengthen surveillance and response efforts along the corridor, which has experienced recurring security threats in recent times.
