A man identified as Ofofon and his girlfriend have been arrested by the police in Cross River State over the suspected murder of a young woman in Calabar South.

According to residents of Afokang area in Calabar South, the victim was allegedly invited to spend the night at the residence by the female suspect before the incident occurred.

A resident, Theresa, told Benue Info-pedia via a phone conversation that neighbours became suspicious after noticing what appeared to be blood flowing through a drainage channel connected to the apartment.

According to her account, residents alerted security operatives, leading to the arrest of the suspects.

The resident further alleged that a vehicle arrived at the residence during the night and later transported the male suspect. However, these claims have not been independently verified by authorities.

Additional allegations made by residents concerning the suspect's past activities and motives remain unverified and should be treated as claims rather than established facts.

Authorities have not officially confirmed allegations that body parts were harvested or sold. Investigators are expected to determine the circumstances surrounding the victim's death and whether additional offences were committed.
