Senator Abba Moro has donated ₦1 million to support a road refilling initiative undertaken by youths in Ugbokpo, Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State. The donation was announced during a visit by representatives of the senator, who also conveyed assurances regarding efforts to resume work on the federal road project in the area.

Senator Abba Moro has provided financial support to a community-driven road repair project in Ugbokpo, headquarters of Okpokwu Local Government Area, as part of efforts aimed at improving transportation infrastructure in Benue South.

According to a statement signed by Hon. George Alli, who represented the senator during a visit to Ugbokpo, the lawmaker donated ₦1 million to assist youths carrying out road refilling works in the community.

Hon. Alli said he represented Senator Moro alongside Hon. Adama Joseph Adama and Hon. Kingsley Gabriel Unah during the engagement with community members.

The statement further disclosed that Senator Moro had engaged the Chinese contractor handling the federal road project in the area. According to the contractor, construction activities are expected to resume once funding is released by the Federal Government.

The senator reportedly reiterated his commitment to advocating for the full construction and timely completion of the road through legislative channels until the project is completed and residents receive improved infrastructure.

Community youths who are participating in the road repair effort expressed appreciation for the support and acknowledged the senator's intervention.

Road infrastructure remains a major development issue across several communities in Benue South, where residents have repeatedly called for improved connectivity to boost economic activities, access to markets, healthcare, and education.
