A distress appeal has emerged from the family of Owoicho Benjamin Owoicho, who is reportedly battling advanced kidney failure. According to the family, his condition has worsened after two years of treatment, with urgent dialysis now required multiple times monthly. Financial constraints have made consistent care difficult, raising fears over his survival.

Owoicho Benjamin Owoicho has been living with kidney failure for the past two years, a condition that has placed a heavy financial and emotional burden on his family.

According to an appeal shared by close contacts, Benjamin requires dialysis sessions three times a month, each costing about ₦90,000. However, the family says they are no longer able to sustain the treatment, leading to missed sessions that could further endanger his health.

Medical professionals have reportedly recommended a kidney transplant, estimated to cost around ₦40 million. The family claims they have exhausted their savings and sold personal property in a desperate attempt to keep him alive.

The appeal describes a household under severe strain, with particular reference to his mother’s emotional distress as the situation worsens.
Members of the public, religious organizations, NGOs, and philanthropists have been urged to support in any way possible, financially, medically, or through connections to kidney care assistance programmes.

The appeal also encourages the public to share the message widely in hopes of attracting timely help.
