Abuja—Member representing Gwer East/Gwer West Federal Constituency, Hon. Arc. Asema Achado, has received Miss Mavis Nguevese Tyoor, a first-class graduate of the Nigerian Law School (Kano Campus), at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.
The event, which held on April 22, 2026, had in attendance the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, and was aimed at recognising the young lawyer’s academic excellence.
Commending her performance, Achado described the feat as a product of discipline, resilience and dedication to education.
He said her success has not only brought pride to Benue State but also serves as motivation for young people, especially within the Masev community.
“Your distinction at the Nigerian Law School places you among the best. As you await your call to the Bar, remain committed to integrity, professionalism and service,” he said.
Achado further urged students to take a cue from her achievement, stressing that education remains a vital tool for personal growth and national development.
In her response, Tyoor expressed appreciation to the lawmaker, the SGF and other leaders for the honour, noting that the recognition would spur her to contribute meaningfully to the legal profession.
