Angus Fraser Memorial High School, Makurdi, Benue State, has emerged victorious at the National Mathematics Tournament, with one of its students clinching a gold medal and others earning recognition for outstanding performance.

The National Mathematics Tournament is a nationwide academic competition that brings together top-performing students from various schools to test their analytical and problem-solving abilities.

The school was represented by five students: Iorun Stephen, Uke-Manger St. Patrick, Tarbo David, Egaji Michael, and Shakpande Tertindi.
Among them, Iorun Stephen, a Basic 9 student, stood out by winning a gold medal after scoring 80 per cent in the competition.

Other members of the team were also recognised for their strong performances, reflecting the school’s growing reputation in academic excellence.

The school management commended the students for their dedication and discipline, noting that the achievement underscores the importance of quality teaching and mentorship.

Special appreciation was extended to Mr. Amos Iyoughye for his commitment to guiding the students throughout the competition.
