We, the Apa Progressives Frontiers, wholeheartedly reaffirm our endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormen Alia PhD, and especially Chief Hon Pst. Ojotu Ojema for reelection in the 2027 general elections.
This position strongly aligns with the resolutions reached by the All Progressives Congress (APC), Apa Local Government Area, during its strategic meeting held on 3rd April 2026, where a unanimous vote of confidence was passed on these leaders in recognition of their remarkable performances.
As a progressive political platform committed to the development of Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, we believe that leadership must be evaluated on the basis of performance, capacity and tangible impact on the people. On this basis, we find the decision of the APC both justified and necessary.
At the national level, we acknowledge the courageous leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose bold reforms are aimed at stabilizing Nigeriaโs economy, strengthening national revenue and laying a solid foundation for sustainable growth through the Renewed Hope Agenda.
At the state level, we equally commend Governor Hyacinth Iormen Alia for restoring discipline in governance in Benue State while embarking on widespread infrastructural renewal and maintaining prompt payment of salaries and pensions.
However, as stakeholders from Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, we must particularly emphasize the extraordinary representation being provided by Chief Hon. Pst. Ojotu Ojema in the House of Representatives.
Within less than three years in office, we have witnessed a level of constituency development that many believed was previously impossible. Through his deliberate interventions, 49 constituents have secured federal government employment, providing lasting economic opportunities for families across the constituency.
Furthermore, hundreds of communities across Apa and Agatu have benefitted from stand-alone solar street lighting projects, dramatically improving security and stimulating night-time economic activities in areas that previously lived in darkness.
In the area of education, we have seen over 600 tertiary students receive scholarships worth โฆ50,000 each, while thousands of young people continue to benefit from free JAMB registration sponsored annually by the lawmaker. These initiatives have opened doors for many young people who might otherwise have been unable to pursue higher education.
Beyond education, we have also seen the construction of strategic roads, as well as empowerment programmes involving the distribution of motorcycles and tricycles, enabling many families to build sustainable livelihoods.
For us in the Apa Progressives Frontiers, these achievements clearly demonstrate that Chief Ojotu Ojema represents a new standard of responsive and impactful leadership in Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency.
It is therefore our firm belief that continuity is necessary. Allowing Chief Ojema to return for a second term will enable him to consolidate the impressive gains already recorded and attract even greater development to our constituency.
Consequently, we fully support and reaffirm the decision of the APC in Apa Local Government Area to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Hyacinth Iormen Alia and Chief Ojotu Ojema for reelection in 2027.
We therefore call on party members, stakeholders and the good people of Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency to remain united and committed to sustaining the progress already achieved.
