A family in Benue State is celebrating a remarkable academic achievement after two sons graduated with First Class degrees from different Nigerian universities, highlighting the values of hard work, discipline, and educational excellence.

The family of Bldr. Prof. Elijah Akaakase Hime, a Professor of Industrial Technology and current Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Industrial Studies at Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi, is marking the outstanding accomplishment.

One of the graduates, Mr. Ibobee Isaac Hime, earned a First Class Degree in B.Sc. (Ed.) Technology (Construction) from Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, formerly known as Benue State University.

His brother, Mr. Abraham Aondoakaa Hime, graduated with a First Class Degree in Surveying and Geoinformatics from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University.

The achievement is particularly notable because both disciplines are among the most demanding professional and technical fields within Nigeria's built environment sector. Construction Technology focuses on the planning, design, execution, and management of building projects, while Surveying and Geoinformatics supports land administration, infrastructure development, mapping, and spatial data management.

Education stakeholders have consistently emphasized the importance of academic excellence in driving national development and producing the skilled workforce required for technological advancement and economic growth.

Beyond being a proud moment for the Hime family, the accomplishment reflects the growing contribution of Benue indigenes to Nigeria's academic and professional landscape. It also serves as encouragement to students across the state, demonstrating that outstanding academic performance remains achievable through dedication, resilience, effective mentorship, and strong family support systems.

As Benue State continues to prioritize education as a pathway to social and economic development, stories such as this reinforce the importance of investing in learning, innovation, and human capital development.

The success of the two graduates stands as a testament to the enduring value of education and provides a positive example for young people aspiring to excel in their chosen fields.

Benue Info-pedia congratulates the Hime family on this remarkable milestone and celebrates the achievements of the two graduates as worthy examples of academic excellence for students across Benue State and Nigeria.
