A graduate of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Blessing Alims Ojisor, has emerged as the best graduating student in her department after overcoming multiple failed attempts at WAEC and JAMB, according to reports.
Ojisor’s academic journey was marked by persistence, having reportedly attempted both WAEC and JAMB four times before securing admission.
Despite early setbacks, she went on to excel academically, graduating with a First Class degree. She also previously received a N1 million award as UNICAL’s Overall Best Graduating Student.
Ojisor served as the institution’s first female Students’ Union Government (SUG) president.
Observers say her story “highlights resilience and determination in the face of repeated challenges.”
She is expected to be honoured at UNICAL’s 38th convocation ceremony scheduled for April 10.
